Titomic Opens Advanced European Facility in Heerenveen

Titomic Limited (ASX: TTT), a global leader in cold spray additive manufacturing and Titomic Kinetic Fusion™ (TKF™), has officially opened its new European facility in Heerenveen. The expansion is a major step in the company’s growth strategy, enhancing production, repair, and coating capabilities for multiple industries across Europe.

The new facility is five times larger than Titomic’s existing Akkrum site, providing a state-of-the-art environment to support large-scale innovation and industrial applications. It features four advanced cold spray booths and a TKF™ system with a five-meter build capability, enabling high-performance parts and solutions at scale.

Rising Demand for Cold Spray Technology in Europe

Klaas Rozema, President of Titomic EMEA, emphasized that the expansion reflects the growing European demand for cold spray technologies. “With expanded capacity and world-class equipment, we are positioned to deliver cutting-edge systems and high-performance parts to customers across multiple sectors,” Rozema said.

The launch event highlighted the importance of innovation and global collaboration in advanced manufacturing, with keynote remarks by former astronaut André Kuipers, who underscored precision and sustainability as critical factors for modern industry.

Strategic Partnerships and Research Collaboration

As part of the opening, Titomic signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fraunhofer, Europe’s largest applied research organization. The collaboration aims to accelerate research and development in cold spray applications and strengthen Titomic’s innovation ecosystem in Europe.

“The Heerenveen facility will serve as a strategic hub for our European customers, partners, and research institutions,” Rozema noted. The site is expected to support key industries including aerospace, defense, automotive, and energy, driving innovation in both production and repair services.

Advancing Sustainable and High-Performance Manufacturing

Titomic provides advanced metal manufacturing-as-a-service, leveraging its proprietary TKF™ cold spray technology. This process allows the rapid creation of high-performance parts, coatings, and repairs without thermal distortion—a critical advantage for industries requiring precise, durable, and lightweight components.

The company’s service model includes field-based and in-facility deployments, consulting, design, systems integration, and ongoing operational support. This approach eliminates the need for clients to invest in costly capital equipment while ensuring rapid, on-demand manufacturing.
