Duncan Aviation has completed its first major 1C inspection on a Dassault Falcon 8X, marking an important milestone in the company’s aircraft maintenance and support capabilities. The heavy maintenance check was carried out at the company’s facility in Michigan and represents a significant expansion of its services for long-range business jets. The achievement highlights Duncan Aviation’s growing expertise in maintaining next-generation business aircraft while strengthening its position in the global maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector.

A 1C inspection is one of the most comprehensive scheduled maintenance events for Falcon aircraft. During this process, technicians perform extensive structural inspections, system evaluations, and detailed checks of critical aircraft components. Large sections of the aircraft must be opened or partially disassembled so engineers can examine key structures, electrical systems, avionics equipment, and mechanical assemblies. These inspections are essential to ensure the aircraft continues operating safely and efficiently.

Major maintenance checks often provide an opportunity for aircraft operators to carry out additional upgrades while the aircraft is already undergoing extended ground time. During the Falcon 8X inspection, several improvements were completed alongside the mandatory maintenance work. These upgrades included enhancements to onboard systems, interior refurbishments, and a full repaint of the aircraft’s exterior. Combining upgrades with scheduled inspections allows operators to minimize operational downtime.

Although Duncan Aviation has extensive experience servicing various Dassault Falcon models, completing a 1C inspection on the Falcon 8X represents an important step in expanding its technical capabilities. The Falcon 8X is a sophisticated long-range business jet that requires specialized knowledge, advanced diagnostic tools, and highly trained technicians. Successfully completing the inspection demonstrates the company’s ability to support some of the most advanced aircraft operating in the business aviation sector.

Large aircraft inspections require months of preparation before the aircraft even arrives at the maintenance facility. Engineering teams must carefully review maintenance requirements, identify service bulletins, and coordinate the availability of parts and technical resources. This level of planning ensures that technicians can complete the inspection efficiently while maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards.

As modern business jets become more technologically complex, the demand for specialized maintenance providers continues to grow. Aircraft operators rely on experienced MRO organizations to perform inspections, upgrades, and repairs that keep fleets operating safely. The successful completion of Duncan Aviation’s first Falcon 8X 1C inspection highlights how maintenance providers are expanding their capabilities to support the latest generation of business aircraft.
