Tesla Inc has introduced a new, more affordable version of its Cybertruck in the United States. The new model is priced at $59,990, making it the lowest-priced dual-motor all-wheel-drive Cybertruck available so far.
At the same time, Tesla has reduced the price of its high-end Cyberbeast model. The Cyberbeast, which was earlier priced at $114,990, will now cost $99,990. The updated prices were listed on the company’s official website.
The move shows that Tesla is focusing strongly on price cuts as part of its 2026 strategy. The company appears to be trying to attract more buyers by lowering the entry cost of its vehicles.
The new Cybertruck model offers dual-motor all-wheel-drive capability, which means power is sent to all four wheels. This improves grip and performance, especially in tough road conditions. Tesla has described this version as its “most affordable” Cybertruck yet.
The Cyberbeast, on the other hand, is the most powerful and expensive version of the pickup. With the new price drop of $15,000, Tesla may be aiming to increase demand for this premium model.
However, the lower price of the Cyberbeast suggests that Tesla may be discontinuing its “Luxe Package.” This package included features such as Supervised Full Self-Driving technology and free access to Tesla’s Supercharger network. The Luxe Package was introduced in August last year when Tesla had raised the price of the Cybertruck. By removing this package, Tesla appears to be simplifying its offerings while reducing costs.
Prices of other Cybertruck versions remain unchanged.
Earlier this month, Tesla also introduced a new all-wheel-drive version of its popular Model Y SUV. The new Model Y variant is priced at $41,990. It sits above the cheaper rear-wheel-drive “Standard” version in the lineup.
These changes suggest that Tesla is adjusting its pricing across different models. Instead of waiting to release a completely new mass-market vehicle, the company is lowering prices on existing models to attract cost-conscious buyers.
In recent years, electric vehicle sales have faced growing competition. Many carmakers are offering new EV models at competitive prices. By cutting prices, Tesla may be responding to this pressure and trying to maintain its strong market position.
Lower prices can help increase sales volume. However, they may also reduce profit margins. Tesla has previously used price reductions to boost demand, especially during times when sales growth slowed.
The Cybertruck has been one of Tesla’s most talked-about vehicles. With its sharp design and stainless-steel body, it stands out from traditional pickup trucks. Since its launch, it has attracted strong interest from customers in the United States.
By offering a cheaper option, Tesla may be trying to make the Cybertruck more accessible to everyday buyers, not just early adopters or high-income customers. The new pricing could help expand its customer base.
At the same time, reducing the price of the Cyberbeast may encourage buyers who were hesitant due to the high cost. A $15,000 cut is significant and may improve sales in the premium segment.
Tesla’s pricing strategy in 2026 appears clear: reduce barriers to entry, increase affordability, and stay competitive in a rapidly changing electric vehicle market.
