Iveco Delivers 110 Electric Crossway Buses to De Lijn in Belgium

Iveco Bus has successfully delivered 110 Crossway Low Entry Electric buses to De Lijn, the public transport operator in the Flanders region of Belgium. The Crossway Low Entry Elec buses are equipped with high-capacity 485-kWh batteries that allow them to travel up to 400 kilometers on a single charge, depending on the route and usage. Fast charging is possible through CCS2 plugs, which helps buses spend less time charging and more time serving passengers.

These buses are built to be energy-efficient, reliable, and suitable for daily city and regional travel. Their electric engines are quiet and smooth, which improves the travel experience for passengers and reduces noise pollution in urban areas.

Comfortable and Accessible Design

The buses are designed with passengers’ comfort and convenience in mind. Each bus can carry up to 45 seated passengers and more than 70 standing passengers.

Of these, about 43% were low-entry versions, designed to make boarding easier for all passengers. The plant combines advanced technology, skilled craftsmanship, and rigorous quality control to ensure every bus meets high standards of reliability, safety, and performance.
